Alpha-Cure Anti-Bribery Policy
Alpha-Cure Anti-Bribery Policy
This policy sets out Alpha-Cure’s approach to managing bribery. All employees should ensure that they are aware of the requirements in this policy.
- Alpha-Cure Ltd will not tolerate any form of bribery being offered or received.
- Offering a bribe is a disciplinary offense and could result in the employee being summarily dismissed for gross misconduct.
- If an employee is offered a bribe, they should politely refuse and then report the incident to their line manager as soon as possible.
- If an employee is offered hospitality, the offer should be discussed with the line manager before it is accepted. Hospitality must never be accepted in return for doing something improper or agreeing on a contract with a customer outside of the usual tendering requirements. Examples of bribery (this is a non-exhaustive list) include accepting gifts, hospitality, or anything else in return for doing something improper.
- If an employee is given a gift, this must be reported to the employee’s line manager. It might be appropriate to return the gift and advice will be given on how to do this.
- No bribe must ever be offered to a foreign public official. If the custom of the country expects some inducement or gift to be offered, this must be discussed with Mark Slater, responsible for enforcing this policy before taking any action.
- If an employee suspects or knows that any bribery is taking place in the organization, they must report it immediately to Mark Slater in the company responsible for enforcing this policy.
- All employees must attend any training that is planned about identifying and addressing bribery issues. This might be a condition of employment for some roles in the organization. If this does apply, the employee’s line manager will inform the employee accordingly.
- Line managers are responsible for carrying out risk assessments of possible situations where bribery might occur. They must report any risks and ways of avoiding those risks to their team.
