Alpha-Cure Conflict Minerals Policy
Alpha-Cure Conflict Minerals Policy
Alpha-Cure supports ending the violence and human rights violations in the mining of certain minerals from a location described as the “Conflict Region” which is situated in the eastern portion of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and surrounding countries. We are committed to helping our customers with their reporting requirements to disclose whether the products we manufacture or contract to manufacture contain “Conflict Minerals” that are necessary to the functionality or production of those products.
The definition of “Conflict Minerals” refers to gold, as well as tin, tantalum, and tungsten, regardless of where they are sourced, processed, and sold. Alpha-Cure supports these requirements to further the humanitarian goal of ending violent conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and surrounding countries.
Alpha-Cure commits to:
- Supporting internationally recognised responsible sourcing principles and complying
with all applicable customer, legal and regulatory requirements relating to Conflict
Minerals. - Not knowingly procuring Conflict Minerals that directly or indirectly contribute to
conflict or human rights abuses in Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas (CAHRAs). - Implementing a risk-based due diligence process for our supply chain through our
documented Conflict Minerals Procedure. - Requiring suppliers to exercise reasonable due diligence within their own supply
chains and, where requested, provide declarations or supporting information
regarding the origin of Conflict Minerals contained within supplied materials or
products. - Investigating any credible concerns regarding the sourcing of Conflict Minerals and
taking appropriate corrective action where necessary. - Promoting awareness of responsible sourcing through appropriate training and
communication with relevant employees and suppliers. - Reviewing this policy periodically to ensure its continued suitability, effectiveness and
alignment with customer expectations and recognised industry guidance.
Alpha-Cure is committed to continual improvement in supply chain transparency and responsible sourcing and will work with suppliers and customers to support ethical
procurement practices.
