High-Pressure UV Lamps
When there is a requirement for high-intensity light, both in the visible and ultraviolet light range then High-pressure UV lamps come into their own.
There are three main versions.
- Air Cooled Short Arc Lamps, sometimes referred to as compact arc lamps are xenon filled, and run from 150w to 10000w. These are used for solar simulation, searchlights, film, stage and studio industries.
- Air Cooled Short Arc Mercury Lamps (also known as halide lamps) have a mix of xenon and mercury gas to produce enhanced UV light output. These are used for spot curing and scientific applications.
- Water-cooled Xenon Lamps run from 12,000w to 32,000w and their extra power is used for solar simulation and large theatre formats such as IMAX.
